But before that, it is mandatory to link a Roku device with a Roku account. You will not be able to add Roku paid channels list to the streaming player without an account. The account creation is a simple process and requires very minimal effort. Follow the below steps to create a Roku account and link your device to it.

Roku account setup

Step 1:

  • Open the Roku Log in page my.roku.com/signup in your web browser
  • The account setup is a three-step process
  • In the first step, enter information such as your first name, last name, a valid email address and a password for the account into the respective fields
  • You must confirm that you are 18 years or older and also agree to the terms and conditions of the website
  • Select the CONTINUE button to move on to the next step

Step 2:

  • In the second step, set a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for your account
  • Setting a PIN is mandatory but its usage can be controlled by you
  • After setting the PIN, you are asked to make a selection for PIN usage for which the options are,
    • You can set the PIN for making purchases and for adding channels to your account
    • You can set the PIN for making purchases
    • Do not require a PIN for making a purchase or for adding a channel
  • Select the CONTINUE button to proceed to the next step

Step 3:

  • In the third step, enter payment information to complete setup
  • You can make use of a credit card, debit card or a PayPal account
  • If using a credit/debit card, then enter the card number, expiry date, and a security code
  • Enter your billing address and then select the SAVE AND CONTINUE button
  • If you selected the PayPal payment option, you will now be asked to enter the PayPal account details
  • Once that is entered, select the SAVE button to complete the Roku account setup
  • Verify if your account was created; open the my.roku.com/signin page and enter your login credentials
  • Use the LINK A DEVICE button to link your Roku player to your account

Setting up a Paid Channel

  • You can add a channel store paid channel either from your Roku or from your PC
  • After selecting the respective channel, make use of the ADD CHANNEL option to move on to the next step
  • For adding private Roku paid channels, select the ADD CHANNEL WITH A CODE option
  • Enter the respective channel’s code and select the ADD CHANNEL option
  • You will be asked to enter your PIN before making a purchase
  • Enter the PIN and select the subscription type as monthly
  • Since your payment information is linked with Roku, the subscription fee gets automatically deducted from your account
